i came back from sweden and wanted to return right away, but didn't until today. i wanted to visit so many places, fly over the oceans, but in the end i only made a few. i'm happy i visited a lot of old and new friends everywhere. i discovered a lot of great music that helped me through my daily melancholia. i lost 3 good friends, fell in love 4 times, and got my heart broken once. i learned a lot and made my first and second magazine this year and i'm hard working on much more to come. i worried a lot about everything. i feared and lived through cruel and beautiful times. i'm happy who and where i am now. i think everything will stay adventurous in 2012 and i'm excited about what's coming next. i still have a lot of things to do and i hope you too. my dear readers, i wish you a healthy, interesting and happy 2012. stay golden.

i moved into a new flat today. i'm happy that in the end it all worked out so well. i love my new neighbourhood, the autumn leaves filled backyard & my dark red wooden floor. i didn't answered all your kind requests for snail mail friendships yet, but i will as soon as possible, with my new address; looking forward to the beauty of package & postcard exchange. yesterday my macbook screen & my favorite camera died. now i have to find a nice job to fix booth soon. there are still a lot of photos to blog in queue. the last weeks were just filled with work & worries, where there was no time for updates. i'm looking forward finding rest in my new beautiful comfort zone. before that i will be in berlin this weekend again for distend comfort zones, fika with friends & the taste and the money. i hope you are having adventurous days too.

kiosk monday again. this time with the amazing romka magazin – a magazine about your personal favorite photographs, made by joscha bruckert. this paper blew my mind & made my heart go pitter patter while reading all the stories related to the artists favorite photographs. issue n°5 contains works from 36 amateurs & professionals from 19 different countries. they share their photographic treasures, the pictures they love most together with a description about the photograph, the moments and/or their relationship to the people on it. because i liked it so much, i gave away my first copy to a friend as a birthday present & bought another one right away. you should not miss it. works shown by ana cabaleiro, bo bae kim, daniel gebhart de koekkoek, lara alegre & caitlin duennebier.

last sunday the shared car started to burn on my way from berlin to bremen. it was tanked with gas & filled with 3 football fans. as i got out the whole speedway was quickly covered with rusty chemical smoke. the fire dept. came after 15min, as 1/2 of the car was already burned down. all our backpacks & clothes smelled like chemical plastic smoke. the tow-truck driver took me to the next small town, from where i had to walk about 2 hours to the trainstation. verden is everything but a beautiful town. another thing to add to the list of very unique things that actually happend.

monday will be kiosk-monday from now on. let's start with rebecca cairns self-published photography book “ghost”. it has 40 pages & contains a selection of 27 photographs. her noir and mostly double exposured self-portraits are not only very intimate & well composed, they also express a transparency that makes you feel feer & a comfortable nearness at the same time. you can read a review from eric miller here. though it's printed on demand via blurb, it's quite expensive, but still very worth having in the shelf to take a closer look on her amazing work printed on paper. for recent updates you can take a look at her blog “portrait d'une femme”.
